Immanuel Wilkins Quartet

“The most important debut jazz recording in years”, is how JazzTimes described the CD Omega (2020) from saxophonist Immanuel Wilkins which appeared on Blue Note Records. The New York Times even hailed Omega as the best jazz album of the year. None other than pianist Jason Moran produced the album. Wilkins is not the only star. His partners in crime are equally amazing. They don’t play straight-ahead jazz or free improvisation, but frolic in a refreshing new zone in which both influences can be heard. At the end of January '22 the new CD 'The 7th Hand' of the Immanuel Wilkins Quartet will be released on the Blue Note label. This concert is part of their CD release tour.
