Irwin Gage & Esther de Bros - UITGESTELD!

The recordings of pianist Irwin Gage with Brigitte Fassbaender, Tom Krause, Gundula Janowitz, Arleen Auger and others are cherished by all Lieder buffs for the intense passion of the interpretations, which remain unsurpassed. This is the fifth time that Irwin Gage has come to give master-classes at deSingel. Each time, he staggers us with his inexhaustible fund of knowledge and the way he is able to lift students to a higher level in so short a time. Gage is assisted by language coach Esther de Bros, with whom he has worked for years running the Lieder classes at the Music Academies of Zürich and Saarbrücken. Together, they immerse six singers and their accompanists in a range of German songs, from Schubert to Schönberg.
