Isata Kanneh-Mason draws attention to the primal feminine power of Sofia Gubaidulina.
The sensational British pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason is a member of Great Britain’s most famous musical family. Together with her two brothers and four sisters, she became famous thanks to the popular TV programme Britain's Got Talent. In the meantime, Isata has built up an exciting solo career. She deliberately dedicated her debut album Romance to a female composer, Clara Schumann. During her debut recital at DE SINGEL, Isata will also be drawing attention to the primal feminine power of Sofia Gubaidulina, set against the high testosterone levels of Messrs Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin and Rachmaninoff.
