Jaouad is a singer, actor, theatre maker and LGBT activist with Moroccan roots and is unafraid to tackle themes such as gender and identity. For his concert in deSingel’s Inner Courtyard, he opts for a trio line-up. Together with his permanent musical partner Aiko Devriendt (keys) and Alban Sarens (sax), he presents a spiritual and catchy mix of soul, pop, R&B and gospel. Steamy grooves with a dash of spirituality and engagement. Jaouad’s mission is to connect people through art and dialogue. As a former pastry chef, drag artist and semi-finalist in 'The Voice Vlaanderen', he is currently working on his first album #MESSIAS which is due to be released in early spring 2021.
