‘Mirrors’ is the result of the first collaboration between Concerto Köln and the internationally renowned young soprano Jeanine De Bique. A musical puzzle in which Handel is placed alongside his predecessors and contemporaries. Major female figures such as Cleopatra, Rodelinda and Alcina are featured in Handel’s arias. Broschi and Graun provide accompanying decors in which these heroines are reflected. Pure baroque seduction, perfect for De Bique’s expressive voice.
