Jens Maurits Orchestra

The Jens Maurits Orchestra is a Belgian-Dutch group of musicians and artists, plus a video film-maker. In 'The BLOGOPERA', you will seek the origins of music together with the performers. You select stories, dance, video or scientific conversations using a digital interface. You share a study of music, through music, with the performers.
In the performances by this orchestra, the elements are fixed, but not the order. On the one hand this increases alertness because improvisation and scripted action are mixed up together. On the other hand, the meaning shifts too. Unexpected sequences of elements sometimes lead to surprising connections being made. In this way the performance remains fresh, both for the performers and for you!
