The Jerusalem Quartet share the stage with the refreshing Novus String Quartet!
Ten years ago, the Jerusalem Quartet became famous for their youthful enthusiasm. Now, with a rucksack full of concert experience, they share the stage with the equally driven and refreshing Novus String Quartet. Together they transport you into the almost symphonic sound world of Mendelssohn’s Octet and into the Octet by Enescu, a work that was so audacious for its time that it was pulled from the programme by the organiser just before the premiere. Both works prove that an octet is more than the sum of two quartets.
