The German-Canadian cellist Johannes Moser has previously shown what a grandiose dialogue he can coax from the Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen. This time he presents Dvořák’s Cello Concerto, an epic masterpiece which in Moser’s own words conceals “a surfeit of love”. With conductor José Luis Gomez, the orchestra is inviting an adventurous new ally. Under his lead, Brahms' Symphony No. 3 becomes a thrilling ride full of bright interplay.
