The 'genere rappresentativo' or 'theatrical style' was Monteverdi's ideal way of interpreting human emotions. This book also contained two of his most popular and most beautiful works. This vocal and instrumental ensemble was founded in 1998 by the countertenor Claudio Cavina to explore the rich world of the Italian madrigal.
