Lennart Heyndels is a bass player, synthesist and composer who works in a diverse range of contexts, from jazz (Ben Sluijs Quartet) to playful pop (Hi Hawaii). In his latest project Codex Au Soleil he merges the medieval Ars Subtilior with his forward-thinking approach to contemporary music. Codex Au Soleil combines the consistency of the traditional compositions with improvisation and thus reconstructs them in new ways. A brilliant quartet with a programme for connoisseurs!
