Martina Consonni / Tomoki Park

It is not easy for young musicians. They may have graduated from the best conservatoires in the world and won prizes at prestigious competitions, and yet it’s a continual struggle for a place in the concert calendar. Sir András Schiff wanted to change this when he started the Building Bridges programme in 2014. Every year he gives three young pianists a boost by coaching them intensively and offering them performance opportunities. DE SINGEL has been a proud partner in this project for many years. In recent seasons, it has already led to us welcoming Yury Shadrin, Michael Brown and Dinara Klinton. This year Schiff is pushing Martina Consonni and Tomoki Park to the fore. Together with them, he has meticulously fine-tuned two concert programmes, which Schiff considers their calling cards.
