In Light Music by the Nadar Ensemble, it’s all about the experience. What happens to perception when light becomes a permanent part of the musical experience? In an adaptation by Simon Steen-Andersen for trombone, cello, keyboard and tape, does Bach's Schlummert ein truly become a 'lullaby of eternal sleep' when the light actually goes out? And how does Light Music by Thierry De Mey fare when a soloist literally 'paints' with light and sound? Nadar – in-house artist at DE SINGEL - enriches the programme with pieces by Alexander Schubert and Yoko Ono's ultra-short Lighting Piece from 1955. Be surprised by their adventurous take on music and concert experience.
