1h Naima Joris is convincing both in covers and original work. Her saudade is bewitching.
Your health and safety is our top priority and we are carefully following the guidelines set out by the government and experts. We will be delighted to welcome you in a fully Corona-proof environment.
Our artists are eager to give their all. So - despite the many measures in place - don’t forget to come and enjoy yourself!
Naima Joris started out as a street musician and a short time later was singing backing vocals for Isbells at the AB. The plan to head into the wilds of nature with a mini camper van and a guitar was obliged to make way for a more interior trip. Her captivating voice tells this story, with soulful songs resonating from the heart. Naima sings saudade, in a mix of emotions spanning loss, love and melancholy. Her repertoire consists of both covers and her own songs, but she always seeks to offer a feeling of comfort and tranquillity, a sense of slowing down in a confusing and turbulent world. As a multi-instrumentalist, she is at home in multiple genres, but she immediately bewitches the listener with her warm voice à la Melanie De Biasio. In mid-April she published a highly disarming home video in which she covered Cesária Evora with a looper in a captivating version of 'Sodade'. Naima is currently working on her debut album.
