The combination of Vladimir Spivakov and Tae-Hyung Kim proved itself to have international class two years ago. Their 'Rach 3' brought them wildly enthusiastic reviews. This Russian and Korean are now tackling another monument: Tchaikovsky's First Piano Concerto. Gooseflesh is guaranteed when that majestic opening melody surges through the auditorium. And Kim will definitely amaze you again with his melodious phrasing and opulent touch. Spivakov and the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia are closer to this repertoire than anyone else. They lead you through the Fifth Symphony with equal parts of mastery and national pride. This is another of Tchaikovsky's best works. The horn theme in the second movement inspired John Denver when composing the evergreen 'Annie's Song'. Who knows where it will lead you.
