Nederlands Blazers Ensemble

Are you sick of the classic recipe for New Year's concerts? Then try the ingredients offered by the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble (NBE). This inventive company is presenting a festive programme with music from all points of the compass, new notes from our region and lots of young people on stage. Special guests are six very young Flemish composers. They are the winners of the composition competition 'On route to the 2008 New Year's concert'. The NBE organises this competition for children aged up to eighteen together with the Vara. During a workshop with composer Wim Henderickx, the young composers prepare their compositions for performance together with the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble in this concert.
