The Finnish revelation Santtu-Matias Rouvali selects symphonic masterpieces!
Due to the new corona restrictions, we are unfortunately forced to cancel this concert. Even if the measures were to ease, for economic reasons we cannot present such a large-scale and prestigious concert for a limited capacity. Please accept our apologies for this. Ticketholders will be informed.
The Philharmonia Orchestra is a well-known name in the orchestral world, and has recently appointed a new conductor: the Finnish revelation Santtu-Matias Rouvali. He has selected a series of symphonic masterpieces. Its rousing rhythm and climactic build-up mean that Ravel’s Boléro is an audience favourite. The same is true of the magical Sheherazade, in which the fairy tales of A Thousand and One Nights are brought to life in music. And for the popular Piano Concerto No. 2 by Saint-Saëns, the young Alexandre Kantorow takes a seat behind the keyboard.
