Prometheus Ensemble - Capella Currende - Etienne Siebens - Erik Van Nevel

With the Prometheus Ensemble, reinforced by the voices of Capella Currende, we enter Morton Feldman's Rothko Chapel. Feldman's carpets of sound are the perfect counterpart to the stirring paintings of Mark Rothko and are a meditation on time and space, rhythm and movement. The spirituality of Jonathan Harvey's flute quartet, Lotuses, is entirely in keeping. We shall have to wait and see if the same applies to Luc Van Hove's new piece, which closes the concert: is has been written specially for the occasion, for the combined ensembles.
