Richard Goode

We simply can't say it often enough, but whenever Richard Goode takes the seat at the piano, he brings us a little closer to the greater Good, Truth and Beauty. Last season in deSingel you saw him wearing several hats: as pianist, an inspired teacher in masterclasses and as an erudite speaker who analysed his favourite Beethoven sonata with crystal clear precision. Each and every one of his roles produced unforgettable listening experiences, which we happily invite you to enjoy once again. When Goode announced his wish to temporarily withdraw from concert life, we felt uneasy. Luckily, we still managed to coax him into giving another recital before he embarks on his sabbatical, and we will miss him in the future. Richard Goode has not yet supplied us with a programme, he'd prefer to let it be dictated by the moment, which of course, we fully appreciate. We are very pleased to receive this genius of a pianist once again! The day before the concert, Goode will set aside time to give some masterclasses.
