Salon de la pensée

In this Salon, deSingel would like to literally and figuratively create space for reflection on current topics in the artistic world and the life of society. Each salon is devoted to a particular subject, and for each one we are inviting two or three guests who will discuss the topic with each other and the audience. The topic of this autumn's salon is 'art & pornography'. We shall be exploring works of art (films, literature, photography and painting) that are not shy of pornography. We ask what pornography does to these art forms, and what art does to pornography. Can art safeguard the core of pornography - the sexual assault on the body - or is its purpose more one of subversion, criticism or irony? Drinks and snacks available
