Ian Bostridge has unfortunately had to cancel his recital at deSingel for family reasons. It will be postponed until the 2009-10 season.
To our great delight, the great Russian baritone Sergei Leiferkus is willing to replace Bostridge on Saturday 21 February 2009. He is known to be one of the most vigorous exponents of the rich repertoire of Russian songs. With the pianist Julius Drake he will perform a selection of moving songs by Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky and others.
