Shara Worden, Andrew Ondrejcak & BOX

The spring of 2013 will see various artistes working together on a new scenic concert. In May, you will be able to attend the first run-throughs, but it will be only in the autumn that the fully developed project will be ready. The focal ensemble is BOX, a variable group of young baroque musicians. Their starting-point is contemporary rock, to which they add the colour of their old instruments. The founder and central figure is lutenist Pieter Theuns. Composer, vocalist and poly-instrumentalist Shara Worden is known chiefly as the lead singer of the indie rock band My Brightest Diamond. She is classically trained and her performances embrace such disciplines as storytelling, costume design and puppeteering. Her recent solo CD 'All Things Will Unwind' is a fine example of her exceptional qualities as a composer and vocalist. Director and stage designer Andrew Ondrejcak studied architecture and stage directing. His most recent production, 'Veneration #1: The Young Heir Takes Possession of The Master's Effects', was presented at the Guggenheim Museum, New York, by curator Robert Wilson.
