Sheku and Isata Kanneh-Mason unfold classics with unparalleled passion and expertise.
Music plays a leading role in the Kanneh-Mason family. This talented family from the United Kingdom – dubbed the ‘Jacksons of classical music’ – sparkles on the stage of numerous prestigious concert halls and attracts a whole new audience. Sheku Kanneh-Mason is the first black musician in history to have won the BBC Young Musician competition. Just like his sister Isata, who has previously been a guest at DE SINGEL, he performs with the biggest orchestras. For this concert they perform together with three beautiful cello sonatas by Fauré, Poulenc and Mendelssohn and a new work by their English compatriot Natalie Klouda.
