The Italian theatre-maker Luigi De Angelis from the company Fanny & Alexander and the young musicians of Kaleidoskop, the Berlin soloists' ensemble, evoke the world of Sergei Diaghilev, the visionary founder of Les Ballets Russes. As a seductive charlatan more interested in logic that in principles, and utterly ungifted, he had all the qualities of the ideal patron except money. As creative and ambiguous as a snake, he, with his Ballets Russes, wormed his way into his audience's consciousness and injected it with a new, hedonistic and aesthetic sensitivity. ‘змея’ too will spread through your brain, the concert hall and beyond like a musical vortex. What starts as an installation gradually becomes a seductive, whimsical, sensually stimulating and provocative spectacle. Exactly as Diaghilev would have wanted it.
