Led by chief conductor Filip Rathé, the Ghent-based SPECTRA combines forces with the de Rhineland-based notabu.ensemble to perform of a musical moment from the turn of the millennium. Haas' masterwork in vain is a powerful manifesto against the renewed emergence of the extreme right in Austria. For the performance, not only the ensemble but also DE SINGEL’s Blue Hall will have to play a special role in combatting the darkness.
