'I have discovered that one note, if played well, can be sufficient', says Arvo Pärt. If such a comment provokes a raised eyebrow, attending this concert will definitely convince you otherwise. The State Choir of Latvia and the Chamber Orchestra of Tallinn are no strangers to Pärt fans. I'm sure that any recording they have in their record library is by these Latvians and Estonians. Both ensembles previously made impressive recordings of important works such as the 'Litany', 'Kanon Pokajanen' and the stately 'Te Deum'. If you want to hear these top musicians perform the 'Te Deum' in the flesh, here beckons the chance of a lifetime. Before the interval, the State Choir will perform a capella music from Latvia, Lithuania and France. We promise a perfectly well-balanced concert, and one you won't easily forget.
