His unusual voice timbre takes your breath away right up to the final note. He is accompanied by the virtuoso Senegalese kora player Bao Sissoko and the versatile Flemish violist Wouter Vandenabeele. Their music comes straight from the heart.
Bao Sissoko is a world-renowned kora expert and has a very distinctive playing style: at times fine and fragile, and at others raw and energetic. He has worked with figures including Malick Pathé Sow, Baaba Maal and Zap Mama. With Wouter Vandenabeele, he previously made the much-lauded album ‘La musique d’Issa Sow’.
