An illustrious dynasty of Iranian percussionists takes centre stage: father Djamchid and his sons Keyvan and Bijan Chemirani. Gathered around them are musicians of different sound worlds. Whipped up by the acrobatically virtuoso rhythms of the Chemiranis, they improvise together to their hearts’ content. This leads to exciting hybrid music that navigates between contemplative, meditative moments and extravert explosions.
