Till Fellner
De drie laatste sonates van Beethoven
Before the pianist Till Fellner starts to study a sonata he first analyses the structure of the work with surgical precision; this is an essential precursor to his clear and transparent performance. Which makes him the perfect candidate to explain, very accessibly, how ingeniously structured Beethoven's last three sonatas are and how these sonatas, opus 109, 110 and 111, together inextricably form a trio. He will perform all three sonatas during his recital on the following evening.
