Till Fellner
Grüße aus Wien
Till Fellner presents piano classics by Schubert, Beethoven, Mozart and Schönberg.
Franz Schubert, Ludwig van Beethoven, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Arnold Schönberg. These are four names that the Austrian pianist Till Fellner has been carrying with him for almost his entire professional career. Mozart and Beethoven were on the programme when he launched his career at the Clara Haskil-concours in Switzerland. The 4 Impromptus were already gleaming on his debut CD from 1992. And 25 years ago, he already toured with the Sechs kleine Klavierstücke. One thing is crystal clear: this is music that is intimately intertwined with the pianist. Although this certainly does not mean that after all these years, Fellner has nothing more to add to this music. He still succeeds in finding greater depth with every performance. This promises to be a piece of classical music history that sounds surprisingly contemporary.
