Traject Ivo van Hove

For this season we have compiled a programme with Ivo van Hove, who has been director of Toneelgroep Amsterdam for more than ten years. It includes no fewer than four productions by his company. Two are his own productions, one of which is for large stages and the other a new creation specially for our new Theatre Studio. Apart from this, Ivo van Hove has invited two leading foreign directors who have created a furore far beyond the borders of their countries. They will work with his ensemble of actors on two cast-iron repertory plays. Grzegorz Jarzyna from Poland will stage Racine's 'Phaedra' and director Thomas Ostermeier from Berlin will present Ibsen's 'Ghosts'. We will also be organising two important discussion sessions and presenting several films in Cinema Zuid.
