The young Icelandic pianist Víkingur Ólafsson conquers the classical music world!
With his exceptional musical expressiveness and idiosyncratic programmes, the young Icelandic pianist Víkingur Ólafsson has conquered the classical music world in a short space of time. He has already released three albums with the prestigious label Deutsche Grammophon, with which he topped the classical charts. His debut album Philip Glass Piano Works immediately caught the public’s attention. On his third record, he connects Rameau and Debussy both effortlessly and convincingly, despite the fact that there are three centuries between them. During his debut concert at DE SINGEL, Ólafsson presents his new album to you, in which he engages in a dialogue with Mozart and his contemporaries.
