Violeta Urmana - Jan Philip Schulze

The Lithuanian mezzo Violeta Urmana is a welcome guest at Bayreuth, La Scala in Milan, the Wiener Staatsoper, the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Metropolitan Opera in New York. She is celebrated as one of the greatest performers of Verdi and Wagner of our time. In between all these opera performances she regularly concentrates on Lieder too. The accompanist Jan Philip Schulze provides good company for Urmana. Together they perform matchless songs by Wolf, Wagner, Rachmaninov, Liszt and Strauss.
