Walpurgis
Speelt!
In their music-theatre project 'Speelt!', Walpurgis intends to continue exploring the theatrical potential of music and the musician. 'Speelt!' is about the searching, inquisitive, sometimes lost man who tries to understand, feel and question his world by way of his experiments, literally 'playing'. The motivation behind the acoustic spatial experiment is the experiment itself. The music does not keep to any non-musical story and does not exist because of any professed content; it is a game that gives itself meaning. It is, just like hopscotch and dipping rhymes, entirely abstract: you can only hear or 'play' it. When it comes to the stage setting, Alexander Calder's mobiles are a source of inspiration.
This production is suitable for anyone over 12 years old.
