Wouter Van Looy, Nicolas Achten & Jongerenmuziektheater Transparant

The annual youth opera by Muziektheater Transparant is an internationally renowned project. Young singers and instrumentalists from both home and abroad experience the full creative process of a baroque opera production from start to finish. During a brief 10-day period in deSingel an enthusiastic interdisciplinary team coaches the youngsters towards a performance. They are closely involved in all aspects of the staging and are given a thorough training in baroque music. This time the musical and theatrical richness of Monteverdi's madrigals play a central role. This successful opera project is part of deSingel's campus activities.
