Hans Beckers describes his La Floresta as ‘a playful interaction between age-old nature and contemporary electronica’. His creation not only looks impressive, but sounds it too. Entirely by himself, he created a robot-like animal full of shells, leaves and seed pods that crawl through the air like snakes. Rustling, jangling and whispering as if you are walking through a primeval forest. At the same time sounds ring out from the world around us: synthesizers and drum computers, soundscapes en samples.
