What if people no longer manage to speak and only the body is able to communicate? What does a body say? Where in our society is there still space for the fusion of body and mind? With Love Doll playing with the big boys in a different kind of space Lies Pauwels -who enjoyed major international success with performancesincluding Het Hamiltoncomplex and Do the Calimero - goes in search of the expressive and transformational power of the body. In this new performance, which DE SINGEL is helping to support, Lies Pauwels herself undergoes a series of metamorphoses live on stage, applied in-situ by a make-up artist. Also on stage: dancer Nicolas Vladyslav, saxophonist Bertel Schollaert and five musicians from B’Rock Orchestra, who will perform a
new composition by Frederik Neyrinck life. Love Doll playing with the big boys in a different kind of space promises to be a rocking rebirth that plays out before your very eyes.
