1h 10' Muziektheater Transparant and DE SINGEL Summer Sessions join forces! A group
of talented youngsters immerses themselves in the world of musical theatre.
Merging together music, vocals, dance, spoken word, theatre, and other art forms
(you name it), they create their very own performance, supported by a
professional artistic team. Developing your own talent and creativity are at the
core of this process: we create, we inspire each other, together we shape the
performance.
With METROPOLIS, we explore the city of the future as part of the Metropolis City
Festival 2026. In 1927, this iconic science fiction film by Fritz Lang was released in
cinemas, a story set in a futuristic city in 2026. Nearly 100 years later, we project
Lang's vision onto our own future. What does the city of tomorrow look like? Who
lives there? And is it even still liveable?
METROPOLIS is a TRANSLAB project, the talent development programme of
Muziektheater Transparant and is part of the DE SINGEL Summer Sessions.
