ON_OFF_SPACE invites young creators Roshanak Morrowatian and Charles Pas to share Tidal Wave: a movement performance that exposes the physical traces of trauma.
In this duet, Morrowatian and Pas share their scars without hesitation. Taken by a tidal wave of survival mechanisms, they search for the limits of their play. What's left after the wave breaks? This creates a quest in which the unmentionable is made tangible in a sharp, choreographic language, where distress can be a soothing element and where emotion can be found in the grimmest of scenes. Our traumas are different and beyond our control, but is it possible to see them as a fragile force afterwards? Can my pain also be your pain?
ON_OFF_SPACE is a new workspace for experimentation in DE SINGEL. Beginning initiatives and interesting developing artists are invited to create and explore there.
