Now for the first time, the collective is venturing forth with an existing text. Georges Perec wrote ‘Een man die slaapt’ (A Man Asleep) in 1967 from the perspective of a twenty-year-old living in Paris. While the world outside is on the point of exploding, the man decides to stop participating in society. He retreats into isolation and indifference. With ‘Iemand die slaapt’ the makers at BOG try to make the everyday, the timeless and the communality of human existence tangible.
