Caden Manson . Big Art Group

In February we shall be receiving a visit from The Big Art Group, a multimedia company from New York. The director Caden Manson and his iconoclastic theatre are at the forefront of the American avant-garde. He founded The Big Art Group in 1998, with the intention of finding a contemporary idiom for the stage. He developed a form that he calls 'Real-Time Film', which involves both showing film and evoking it live on stage. In this way he experiments with the many possible ways of telling a story. His multimedia pieces take their inspiration from present-day America, where, according to him, deceit, triviality and aggression reign supreme. 'Dead Set #3' is an explosive and hypnotic stage show on the mediatisation of war and violence. It is a combination of ingenious and astonishing acting and tricks. This is a production that no lover of American theatre should miss, and replaces the previously announced play, Dan Graham's 'Don't trust anyone over thirty'.
