Colloquium VTi

In this colloquium, the Vlaams Theater Instituut will be looking for a future for the performing arts. The first application of the arts decree and Minister Anciaux's vision on policy have caused much commotion. It did not recognize any new organisations involving individual artists and consigned smaller organisations to the larger theatre companies. The keyword was co-operation. In the meantime, the VTi has started a thorough field analysis of the performing arts. By looking at it from a bird's eye perspective it hopes to reach a better understanding of how the sector operates. By listening to needs and requirements, the VTi is charting trends and difficulties. On this basis it will try to formulate suggestions which might boost the dynamics of the landscape. In the morning various opinions will be put forward in several statements and short debates.
