This season we will once again be offering a combined season ticket with Toneelhuis. Each theatre selects several productions from the other's programme. Our selection from the Toneelhuis programme comprises three plays and a dance performance. The subscription for eight productions creates a good link between the makers and performers who will be included in the programme of both theatres this season. The artistic director Guy Cassiers will open the series. In his productive career as a director he has developed his own theatre idiom in which visual technology is superbly combined with emotion and depth. He has combined his interest in technology with a passion for literature. He directs 'Under the Volcano', based on the book by Malcolm Lowry. The writer narrates the gripping story of the tragic downfall of a drunken consul in Mexico. Josse De Pauw adapted the novel and plays the part of the consul.
