Julien Gosselin & Internationaal Theater Amsterdam
Vallende man
Due to a delay in the renovations of the Red Hall, we have had to cancel this performance. It has not been possible to arrange alternative dates.
However, we are offering the opportunity to see this production in Amsterdam. We are organising a coach trip on Saturday 21 and Saturday 28 March 2020. This will depart from deSingel’s main entrance at 2.30 pm. The performance at the Amsterdamse Stadsschouwburg starts at 7.30 pm and ends at 10.45 pm
The ticket price for the performance at deSingel will stay the same. We are offering the coach journey free of charge.
We apologise for this change and with the performance in Amsterdam, hope to be able to offer you a good alternative.
It’s true – you can enjoy the talent of Julien Gosselin for a third time! His theatre is a combination of live film, electronic music and unscrupulous acting. His foundations invariably lie with literature. Together with Internationaal Theater Amsterdam, he once again takes on a Don DeLillo. In ‘Falling Man’, he explores how the violence of 9/11 has definitively established itself in our imagination. Keith Neudecker escapes from the Twin Towers confused and with minor injuries. He is so shocked that he has lost all sense of direction. Julien Gosselin alternates hushed scenes with intense visual sequences, supported by almost hypnotic techno. You thus oscillate between the perspective of a privileged witness and that of an emotionally involved partner in misfortune. A memorable theatre experience!
