Julien Gosselin - Si vous pouviez lécher mon coeur -
Les particules élémentaires van Michel Houellebecq
These performances were originally planned for 11 and 12 November. However, building work on the fly-tower in the Red Hall has been unexpectedly delayed and as a result we have had to postpone the performances until 6 and 7 January. We apologise and hope you will forgive us for this inconvenience.
Julien Gosselin launched the ‘Si vous pouviez lecher mon coeur’ theatre collective in 2009. His aim was to appeal to the spectator in a way that is both direct and unfiltered, with contemporary plays. ‘Les Particules élémentaires’ is his third production and the first French dramatic adaptation of Houellebecq’s most famous novel. We follow the life of two half-brothers, the overtly hedonist Bruno and the brilliant scientist Michel. Each is deeply unhappy in his own way and unable to give affection or communicate. Gosselin constantly examines two areas: pure poetry and physical, sensory and emotional experience. Ten young multi-talented and passionate performers play double roles, recite poetic texts, and make live video and music. In short, every scene surprises and moves us, for four hours.
