1h 20' The lives of Lola Arias and Stefan Kaegi are coloured by many languages. She was born in Argentina and he is Swiss and works in Berlin. Stefan has already appeared at deSingel with his highly successful 'Mnemopark'. In this second production which he has created together with Arias, they once again set out in search of theatre based on everyday life. In Lausanne they encounter a group of children between the high-rise office blocks of large multinational companies. 'Airport Kids' are the children of international executive managers, children with an array of passports who use their own credit card to book a flight to visit their grandmother. In 'Airport Kids' eight children from all corners of the world tell the story of their nomadic lives. Like real performers they swing amongst removal boxes and transport crates or sing at the top of their voices. Occasionally they feel isolated and lonely and hide behind the safety of their laptop. What is it like to be constantly on the move and to never really come home? A bittersweet performance about innocence and rock-hard reality.
