Will there still be theatre after the end of the world? In-house artist Luanda Casella is putting this to the test. In Ferox Tempus the ecological catastrophe is no longer a doom scenario, but reality. Cities have been washed away, billions of people have died as a result of environmental disasters and famine, the shortage of foodstuffs leads to wars and violence. On this dilapidated planet, a post-humanist being is wandering around: Lua. Is she half human, half animal, robot or fungus? She drifts along with the climate migrants, then joins the indigenous communities who are trying to save what can be saved. In her work, Casella always transports you into a web of ingenious narrative constructions. Ferox Tempus takes the form of a computer game. Guided by the voice of an omniscient narrator, Lua must try to survive ten levels of play. Will this be the future that awaits us all?
