Mariano Pensotti
Arde brillante en los bosques de la noche - GEANNULEERD
This performance has been cancelled.
The Argentinian director and author Mariano Pensotti intertwines comedy and tragedy just like reality and fiction. His subjects are inspired by the life-stories of people who are always connected to their historical background. This time, Pensotti looks for the significance of the Russian Revolution and its influence on Argentina today. We meet three women: a university professor who teaches about revolutions and leads a safe life, an ex-guerrilla fighter who cannot get used to civil life and a journalist who, while on holiday in Argentina, discovers that the descendants of Russian emigrants who fled the revolution in 1917 are living under miserable conditions. Pensotti cleverly intertwines these stories. The five actors perform brilliantly on the stage, the silver screen and as puppeteers!
