1h A magical wave of fabric, music and imagination
Miet Warlop takes you on an ecstatic journey, as wild as a dreamy high. Besides stage performances packed with surprising props, this much-loved DE SINGEL guest wows audiences worldwide with her performances, interventions, and live visual arts installations. In 2026, she will represent Belgium at the Venice Biennale - the first performance ever in the Belgian pavilion since 1907, a milestone in her career.
INHALE DELIRIUM EXHALE is a mental whirlwind, a translation of what goes on in Warlop's head when she creates. It is a wave that rises up within her and crashes back into the outside world, right before our amazed eyes. Four solos echo each other in a swaying canon. More than 1500 metres of silk folds, billows, and rolls in a breathing rhythm. Every temporary shape the fabric takes on reveals invisible worlds and renders the performers tangible. United by the music of the Dewaele brothers (Soulwax), in this choir of disharmony all voices resonate together, yet remain distinct. Thus, Warlop calls upon us to embrace our fragmented and diverse era, while simultaneously honouring our yearning for connection. A collective delirium with a sweet aftertaste, for every stage afficionado.
