duration
1h 30' Following our city quest in 'Remote Antwerpen', we move in the opposite direction: Kaegi and Huber bring reality to the theatre. 'Nachlass' literally means 'legacy'. What remains if we disappear? What traces do the deceased leave behind? Even if death is no longer open to discussion, the key question of how we deal with it remains. In palliative care centres, hospitals and funeral homes, the makers take a closer look at people who are taking their leave of this world. Eight portraits come to life in eight rooms. Rooms that tell a story, embellished with furniture, objects and smells that were dear to the deceased. 'Nachlass' is a theatre performance without people. Through video images, you learn about the lives of the deceased and witness their final musings, silence or laughter.
