Stan Douglas - Canadian Stage
Helen Lawrence
Vancouver, 1948. In the aftermath of the Second World War, corrupt policemen are in league with a bunch of gangsters. And then Helen Lawrence turns up to settle an old debt. Is this femme fatale a victim or culprit? In this production, Stan Douglas combines 3D film with theatre. In this way you watch the actors on stage at the same time as the black & white film on a projection cloth. A unique experience in the Red Hall at deSingel.
